Semana passada adquiri um módulo GEM RP-X. Comprei de um amigo meu. Módulo zero, como novo. Verifiquei que ele ainda estava na versão 1.00. Como é sabido que a General Music faliu, fiquei meio que preocupado, pois em nenhum site da General Music consegui achar o update. Depois de dias procurando e já sem esperanças, consegui achar!!! Pulei de alegria, pois foi brabo para encontrar. Acordei bem cedo, peguei o cabo USB, as instruções e fui fazer o update. Ao rodar o programa do update, o módulo deveria estar desligado... O MÓDULO ESTAVA LIGADO!!!!! O update não funcionou. Achei estranho e desliguei o módulo. Quando religuei, tive a surpresa. Ele não ligava mais!!! Já tentei de tudo, e não consegui ressucitar o bendito...
Pergunta básica: O que eu faço??? Será que tem jeito???

SYSTEM RESET
This function restore the original programmed factory set up of the entire instrument.
Enter the MEMORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM mode keep-
ing pressed al least for 2 seconds the PERF and the EDIT
buttons at the same time. As already seen the <001E>
is the MIDI COMMON channel setting.
Both the pressed buttons and the PART (CH) LED will blink in
the instrument.
Press the EDIT button again, the display show the <001F>
ing message "RST", RESET. The RESET menu it's now
selected.
Keep the DATA
button pressed (at least 2 sec.) to reset
the instrument. In this way the factory data set up is fully
restored.
The LED and the display stop blinking and the instrument
select the default mode.
Press the EDIT buttons again and the MIDI ID menu is
selected.

se o update deve ser feito com o modulo desligado , eh so tentar fazer o update como o modulo esta agora e tentar ligar ele depois de concluido

OBRIGADO JESUS!!!!!!!
Consegui ressussitar o meu módulo, graças a Deus e a General Music US. Entrei em contato por e-mail e rapidamente fui respondido. A pessoa que me atendeu me orientou a fazer o update novamente, observando passo a passo as instruções. Fiz o update. Demorou 30 minutos + ou - e no final desliguei o módulo. Quando liguei, a surpresa, funcionou perfeitamente e já com o update na versão 1.01.
O sufoco já passou. Agora é só curtir.
Que deu medo, ahhh deu!!!!! hehehehheheheh....
Fica aqui o alerta. Muito cuidado na hora de fazer um update. Observe os passos para que nada dê errado.

It should still work reboot the computer and try it again what OS are you using on the computer? Does it see the unit in the device manager?

Thank you for your reply. I would love to help. In fact I'm desperate! I managed to find the file for the update and the information necessary to do so. But I did something foolish. I ended up running the file update and the module on, when in fact it should run the file and then connect the module. The module does not care anymore. É verdade, foi um sufoco e tanto...
Paguei R$ 900,00. Ainda nem consegui analisar os timbres, pois usei uma vez só e fiz a besteira. Agora que está ok, vou me aprofundar...

Eu já pensei em comprar um no ML, mas fiquei com medo.
O pRP 800 me pareceu muito bom quando foi lançado, e eu que já me interessava pelos teclados da GEM a um certo tempo, me animei para comprar um, pois parecia ter um ótimo custo benefício, mas aqui nas lojas de Recife não vieram nenhum para que pudesse testar, e comprar na cega sem testar. Hum...
É complicado, principalmente por serem equipamentos com baixo preço de revenda, mas ainda espero poder testar um.
Eraques Neto, depois que tu testar o RP-X lado a lado com o S80 faz um Review pra gente.

Rapaz, foi um susto e tanto. Confesso que fiquei muito preocupado, pois imagina só R$ 900,00 indo embora por um erro meu!!!
Agora estou tranquilo...
Em relação a PLG150-PF, ainda não chegou. Quando chegar eu posto o meu review. De todo jeito, se ela não me agradar eu coloco à venda.
Ahh, hoje de manhã fui na igreja para usar o som e o laptop e gravei uma pequena demo só de alguns pianos do módulo. Dá pra sentir bem a potência dele...
