On Friday February 25th 2005, Dream Theater wrapped up recording on their latest album. Mixing will be begin on Monday February 28th and the record will be delivered to the label in Mid-March. A release is expected for sometime around May/June through Atlantic Records.
Estúdio
Dream Theater began writing and recording their latest album last November at the world famous Hit Factory studios in New York City. (everybody from Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Britney Spears, U2, Mariah Carey, REM, etc. etc. have all recorded at the legendary studio) As has been reported in the media several weeks ago, the famous recording studio is closing down upon the completion of Dream Theater's recording session.
This album will hold the distinction of being the VERY LAST album ever recorded at the Hit Factory in NYC. (the first was Stevie Wonder's "Songs In The Key Of Life") After the Dream Theater sessions ended on Friday night, the lights were turned off and doors were locked to the world famous studio - ending an era in the music industry..

a verdade é que toda banda quando vai lançar algo novo sempre fala que vai ser o "melhor", mais DT nunca decepciona.

Não concordo, pq ja é muito dificil falar q existem dois albuns iguais deles, sempre tem algo novo, e geralmente bom.

dream theater é mto foda, esses dias aluguei un dvd deles putz os kras mandan mto bem ao vivo ímpossivel destacar 1 dos integrantes, c o novo albun for melhor q o scenes eu vou fikar mto feliz... :) alguem sabe a data de lançamento???

realmente.
Eu só acho q o Labrie está um pouco abaixo do nível dos outros. Mas msm assim ele é insubstituível.

Concerteza. Cada disco do Dream Theater voce sempre vai ver algo de diferente dos albuns anteriores.

Escuta o trabalho solo do cara. E outra, converse com vocalistas mesmo que entendem que eles vão lhe dizer que não é nada fácil cantar naquela região na voz mesmo. Todos ali estão num nível musical excelente. Sem exceções.

é verdade. é muito difícil cantar dream theater. Já vi caras q cantam bem angra c peidarem com DT.
Mas ci lá pra ele estar no nível dos outros ele só precisava de uma voz mais bonita, a técnica dele é excelente (vide Take the Time).
E como eu tinha dito antes, ele é insubstituível. DT não seria o mesmo sem ele.

A tecnica do Labrie JA FOI excelente, depois na epoca do FII e SFAM foi pra meia-boca e agora parece estar voltando a ficar boa. Vale lembrar que nesse periodo que a voz dele ficou ruim ele nao tava cuidadndo da voz direito.

O q é fato, eu li numa revista, uma entrevista do portnoy dizendo q ele e o petruquio tiveram uma conversa "séria" com o labrie e as coias começaram a ficar melhores
