Tô achando ruim o som do meu DS1, mas é novo!
Será que o problema é que estou ligando ele misturado com a dist. da caixa?
Quando eu dou um boost com o equalizer, o DS1 Parece que xia!!!
Me deem umas dicas de regulagem, tanto no equalizer quanto no DS1!
Uso o DS1 PARA SOM PESADO.

O DS1 não é pedal indicado pra som pesado. A não ser que seja para dar boost em distorção valvulada e tals.

Eu tenho um DS2 e acho ele uma merda.

DS-1 e DS-1 são pedais muito usado pra boost.
Mestres como steve vai e satriani usao o ds-1 pra boost.
Porem o ds-1 foi feio para vc ligar com uns 3 4 pedais juntos.
Ele é muito seco e com apenas um botao de equalização o ds-1.
Um bom equalizer, delay e reverb decha ele com um timbre maneiro :).

O Delay é Greatone, pra quebra-galho.
O Equalizer é da Groovin, achei muito pareceido com o GE7, e o preço convenceu!

Hum.
Não sei se são bons pois nunca testei.
Talvez vc esteja regulando eles errado, ou até mesmo ligando eles em ordem errada.
Já que vc tem um equalizer, no amp vc deixa toda as configuraçoes de equalizacao ou qualquer efeito no 5. Grave, médio e agudo no 5 que é em flat, desaliga ela e vc usa apenas o do equalizador.
Ve se vc ta ligando na ordem certa. Mexe na dist e na equalizacao.
Evite delay muito prolongado com muitas repetiçoes.
E procure um reverb pra seu set =)

O amp é um Behringer, miniatura, pra ensaio...mas ontem, tocamos e usei um roland...o TS7 respondeu perfeitamente, tanto limpo como boost, mas o DS1 foi uma droga!

Intão passa o DS-1 pra frente e pega um reverb para ligar junto com o delay o equalizer e o TS7 :).

Cara depende de vc.
Se vc nao esta satisfeito com o DS-1 e ta com o TS7 passa o DS-1 pra frente e pega um Reverbzinho que vai melhora bastante.

Tá, mas e quanto a regulagem do equalizer, sim, por que só uso ele nos solos, para dar força e volume...Tô usando o equalizer com as regulagens todas no meio...

Isso aqui pode te dar uma luz sobre como regular o DS-1 (site do Steve Vai):
I bought a Boss DS-1 distortion pedal because I love the way your distortion sounds on the G3 live album. I don't think I'm doing it right though. I plugged my guitar into the 'input' of the pedal and then another cable from the 'output' of the pedal into the 'input' of my Hughes and Kettner Tube/50 head. But it sounds buzzy no matter where I position the knobs on the pedal or the head for that matter. Am I doing something wrong? Is there some piece of equipment that I need but am not aware of? I also have a Bad Horsie wah that I want to use. I'll appreciate any help you can give me. Sincerely,

Steve replies: "Jake, it sounds like your plugging everything in right. Check the battery in the distortion. With my set-up, when the distortion pedal is turned off the amp is a little dirty sounding. Kind of a chunky rhythm tone that I use as a basic sound for all the songs. If I back off the volume on the guitar the sound clears up enough to use it for cleaner songs. When I crank the volume on the guitar and hit the pedal it's usually pretty distorted but smooth. The way I set the knobs on the DS-1 are tone control to about 9 o'clock, level at about 11 o'clock and the distortion to about 11 o'clock. If your amp is set very clean then crank the distortion on the pedal all the way up but smooth it out by bringing the tone way down, maybe to 7 or 8 o'clock. The basic sound is in the tone but most improtant is the way you hit the notes. The real tone is always in your head and fingers." Other things you might want to check, if this doesn't clear it up for you, are your cable and positioning. A bad cable could be the culprit for buzz, or try changing where you put your amp in case nearby power lines etc. are causing noise.

Isso aí em cima já é uma dica em tanto. Era justamente o que eu ia falar.
Pedal de distorção não é pra ficar "tudo no máximo".
Colocando "tudo no máximo" o melhor que vc consegue é um som de frigideira excelente.
Os controles de Level e Drive são feitos para serem estudados meticulosamente. Comece com pouco drive e vá aumentando aos poucos.
Eu tenho um GT2 e uso o nível de drive quase no mínimo, quase 10%. É bem pouquinho mesmo, mas já dá pra sentir o pedal.
As vezes "pouco" é melhor que "muito". Pense nisso.
