Pessoal, andei pesquisando sobre alguns capotrastes e parece que este é um dos melhores que existem hoje no mercado. Pelo que vi é o que melhor segura a afinação da guitarra:

Pessoal, esta discussão não vai levar a nada. Vamos voltar ao assunto do tópico, ok? peço deculpas se fui indelicado.
Gostaria de saber se alguém já testou ou conhece esse Nut que mencionei, o Tusq XL. Parece que é muito bom mesmo.

Upando esse topico pra uma perguntinha.
O que é Tusq?
Eu sei que existem nuts e saddles de osso e de tusq, ambos de excelente qualidade. Mas o que é tusq? Um tipo de osso? É sintetico? Que material é esse?
Não consigo achar no wikipedia nem no google definições sobre o que é tusq e me deixou na maior curiosidade.

Tusq é um marfin sintético impregnado de grafite, excelente material para pestanas / nuts.

É isso aí mesmo! Vlw! Vi em outro site chamando de "marfim sintético".
Achei estranho que não existe definição disso no wikipedia nem achei no google. Tusq é abreviação?
Enfim, é material sintético de altissima qualidade. Os saddles de alguns violões Martin são de Tusq. Coisa fina!

What is TUSQ made of?
TUSQ is a proprietary material which is precision engineered under high pressure and heat. It is specifically formulated to deliver the right frequencies with the optimum transfer rate to the top of your guitar every time. Because of the way TUSQ is made, it is a consistent material that is rich in tone and harmonic content.
How is TUSQ different from any other material (bone, micarta, and corian) used in nuts and saddles?
TUSQ is a very resonant material. This resonance alone will give you a very full and deep sound that will amplify your tone to a whole new level. Secondly, it's a consistent material, allowing every note you play to sound just as clear and full as the next. In comparison, bone has natural grains which cause dead spots. These dead spots damp balance in tone and harmonic content. Micarta is made partially from linen and paper scraps which makes it hard to work with while corian is nice to work with but also damps sound.

• Bone. Bone is in my opinion by far the best material to be used for nut construction as it features volume, a wide open tone, strength against mechanical shocks and offers a fine tuning reliability especially if periodically lubricated.
• Ivory. This is very similar to bone but a bit harder and brighter and a bit more difficult to craft.
• Micarta, Corian, TusQ, etc. These are plastic materials of various hardness and density. Some of them sound and react pretty like the bone even if they hardly reach its sustain and tone articulation.
• Graphite. The use of graphite is almost a must in case of a guitar equipped with tremolo. The tone is well balanced and graphite is a good compromise between tone and performance
• Graphtech. This material is made of graphite mixed with teflon which feature a better lubricating and a better tuning stability in case of tremolo use. The sound is very close to standard graphite.
• TusQ. This is a synthetic material that sounds more close to bone. It's made of polymers pressed at very high temperature to reach such density of the bone itself.
• Brass. Being almost the same material of frets, brass ensure your fretted notes will be identical to the open ones. A brass nut will also last for years with a minimum or no maintenance at all. A bit hard to work but it's worth th effort.
• Steel. There's some offer of steel nuts as well around. The are most of the times equipped with rollers to ease the strings slide. Like brass, steel is another fine material for nut if you're not after the classic "vintage" tone and you wish for some more brightness.

Se a ideia se espalha, aqueles catálogos de Corian das dos feiras de casa e cozinha vão ser depenados!

Mais um detalhe, os nuts de osso normalmente são ossos de vaca. Pelo que eu li por cima, osso da perna.
Vegetarianos, cuidado ao escolher a guitarra hahaha.

Peço me informarem qual tusq para nut é melhor para sonoridade.
Pergunto isso porque a Graphtech tem as opções de nut preto, branco e com mais ou menos teflon na sua composição.
