Sei não... Esse Lightwave precisa converter a leitura do infrared para um sinal elétrico. Me cheira a digitalização do som...
E esse Alumitone parece uma PU normal montada de modo não convencional, numa estrutura de alumínio. Mas o visual é bem legal.

Olá amigos...só pra comentar...botei esse captador num projeto strato que fiz...nunca ouvi nada mais perfeito em timbre de strato...brilhante, cheio, médios espetaculares...os caras estão na frente...nem mesmo o samarium cobalt deu conta como os alumitone...vale a compra...cada centavo...

Saca só steve, acho que não dá pra se basear no som de amostragem...mas ligo a strato que te falei num soldano rivera duo twelve que tenho há anos...é não existe nada mais escroto na terra...o som da guitara plugada direto soa melhor que fender original...

No. Each string's signal starts out analog, and stays that way throughout.
8. Do I have to use special strings?
No. Just the opposite, in fact. You can experiment with new strings you couldn't have considered before. Remember, the strings no longer have to be ferromagnetic. They don't even have to be metal at all.

Sobre o Lace Alumitone:
Introduced in 2007, Lace Alumitone pickups feature a new design which is aluminum based, rather than copper. The result is less resistance, higher output coupled to a "current driven design" as opposed to conventional voltage based pickups.
The aluminum water jet cut exoskeleton is then matted to a micro winding using 90% less fine copper wire, a low impedance/high impedance pickup is then created.
Sonically, the pickups produce more bass then traditional single coils, more volume, mids are slightly more than conventional pickups. Highs are clear yet smooth, nicely equalized.
