O Metallica lançou um CD só de covers chamado Garage Inc. Em uma das faixas eles fazem cover de algumas musicas do Mercyful Fate(Evil, Satan's Fall, Corpse Without Soul, Into The Coven e mais uma ou duas), ai deram para essa faixa o nome de Mercyful Fate, mas não é uma musica deles, pode ver que a letra não tem nexo e os riffs mudam toda hora.
Mercyful Fate é uma das bandas percussoras do Black Metal, muito boa.
