A Apple conseguiu se incriminar ao mesmo tempo que tira o corpo fora.
Anunciaram que o iCloud não foi invadido, não houve falha na segurança.
Mas ao mesmo tempo admitiu um ataque direcionado a essas contas.
Na real o tal ataque foi da maneira mais velha de todas, celebridades com senhas faceis, o cara foi tentando e descobriu.
Apesar de não ter achado nenhuma porta dos fundos, ta na cara que o hacker conseguiu evitar o block por tentativas erradas, foi tentando e quem tinha senha tosca dançou.

When we learned of the theft, we were outraged and immediately mobilized Apple’s engineers to discover the source. Our customers’ privacy and security are of utmost importance to us. After more than 40 hours of investigation, we have discovered that certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions, a practice that has become all too common on the Internet. None of the cases we have investigated has resulted from any breach in any of Apple’s systems including iCloud® or Find my iPhone. We are continuing to work with law enforcement to help identify the criminals involved.

É ruim hein...depois que a coisa aparece não sai nunca mais. O que os representantes dessas celebridades conseguem é impedir que o conteúdo seja disponibilizado em sites "respeitáveis" (principalmente através de ameaças extra judiciais), mas no underground e na zoeira de compartilhamentos não conseguirão nada além de risos.
p.s. nem vi essas fotos ainda.
